Providing a solid foundation for our youth

Mamba Cement supports Naletsana Combined School in Northam, Limpopo

The first step to a better future for our youth is quality education. At Mamba Cement we are passionate about uplifting our rural youth, starting at home near our Cement Plant in Limpopo. We identified that Naletsana Combined School, with 800 pupils and only a 16km from the plant, was in need of critical facilities for their student’s academic growth.

We know that reading skills, math and computer literacy are the foundations of any child’s future career, regardless of their desired occupation. We therefore committed to supporting Naletsana Combined School, with its focus on reading as the foundation for all subjects, to enable them to provide an effective springboard for their students’ future. In doing so we sponsored a comprehensive library and computer lab with state-of-the-art equipment. We believed that these interventions would strengthen reading ability and stimulate learning. Therefore we are delighted that the class of 2021 had a matric pass rate of 85% with no less that 8 pupils having achieved university exemption.

With such promising early successes, Mamba Cement is committed to further supporting Naletsana Combined School into the future. Our youth is our future, and with a solid foundation only the sky is their limit.
